Biltmore believes that intelligent diversification, effective risk management, and enhancement of after-tax returns are the primary keys to long-term financial success. By acting as a fee-based planner and wealth manager, our foremost commitment is to help our clients achieve their financial goals. We receive no compensation from outside products, outside service providers, or managers. This objectivity gives Biltmore the flexibility to operate, select products, manage tax liabilities, and control costs based on our clients’ best interests.
The Biltmore Investment Committee reviews the asset allocation of all portfolios among traditional and alternative investments based on the committee’s collective expertise, understanding of financial markets, and outlook on the economy.
Our portfolio management systems and personnel monitor client portfolios on a continuous basis, making adjustments when appropriate based on changes in client situations, preferences, or market conditions.
Under the oversight of the Investment Committee, our portfolio analysts determine where it makes sense to employ active management strategies and where low cost indexing is more appropriate.
We believe that there are inefficiencies in the market, including the closed end fund space, where active management strategies can generate long term return enhancement opportunities to generate excess returns, using our proprietary valuation model.
